<p>
You and I are flowers of the same class,
<br>
Blooming in the garden of the same military academy.
<br>
Flowers that have bloomed are determined to fall.
<br>
Let us fall beautifully for the sake of our country.
<br>
You and I are flowers of the same class,
<br>
Blooming in the garden of the same military academy.
<br>
Our bond is not based on blood,
<br>
But for some reason we get on well,
<br>
And cannot be apart.
<br>
You and I are flowers of the same class,
<br>
Blooming in the garden of the same aerial unit.
<br>
The first plane has not yet returned,
<br>
From that sunset that we looked up to in the southern skies.
<br>
You and I are flowers of the same class,
<br>
Blooming in the garden of the same aerial unit.
<br>
Why did you fall and die,
<br>
Without waiting for that day that we swore to each other?
<br>
You and I are flowers of the same class.
<br>
Though we may fall separately,
<br>
We will bloom and meet again on a spring branch,
<br>
In the Capital of Flowers, in Yasukuni Shrine.
